The application is the bridge between payers and providers who want to move more closely to paperless communication. Providers register with the system through a simple online process where contact, address, and bank account information is gathered by a user-friendly secure web site. Once an authorization form has been signed and returned, the Provider’s bank account will be validated through a prenote process. If no rejections are received within ten days, the account is activated for EFT payments from applicable Payer transactions. In addition, paper remittance advices will no longer be sent to the Provider, but they will be available online in a human-readable PDF file. This combination of EFT and ERA services provides a significant cost reduction in claims and payment processing to both Providers and Payers.
